For Day 3 of our 31 Day Sensory Play Challenge we are using shaving foam. We have a love hate relationship with shaving foam. Some activities have gone well, such as Rainbow Bath Painting, but others have failed (take a look at our Shaving Foam Discovery Bag). So I got Adam’s cars involved and we created a shaving foam and sand tuff spot.
Mixing the shaving foam and the sand was messy but it made the sand easier to mould. It also felt cold to touch. Adam was more interested in running his cars through the mixture.
We were extremely surprised when Adam stood up and started exploring the shaving foam and sand with his toes!
Adam then discovered that he could squirt the shaving foam himself. He placed his cars underneath and completely covered them in shaving foam.
He even sprinkled sand on top. Dad-Dad and Adam had great fun trying to rescue the cars from the mixture.
