Pom Pom Fun

May 16, 2014 by Emma Gadsby 2 Comments

As it was Hyperemesis Gravidarum Awareness Day yesterday it seemed only fitting that today’s play activity was an HG friendly one. Adam loves pom poms. We have a large collection in one of his busy boxes and he frequently plays with them whilst I’m cooking. So we brought the pom poms into the living room and I gave him the large chocolate box I received for my birthday.

Adam starting putting the pom poms into the individual spaces on the tray. He specifically picked out the red pom poms at first. It’s a great activity for developing fine motor skills.

At Easter, Auntie Becky showed Adam it was great fun to put all of his plastic Easter eggs into a basket and then tip them out over his head.  Adam has now transferred this game to most of his toys which can fit into a box.  Pom poms would certainly be high on his list of favourite items to tip over.

Adam then spent ages transferring the pom poms from the floor, into a pile on one tray and then moving them across onto the other tray.

Later on Adam discovered the chocolate box tray made a noise when he pushed down on it.

He turned the tray over and squashed each section until the tray was flat.
