The picker below has the full animal set. Set the difficulty, type an optional name and task line, and click Generate to draw the maze.
Task ideas worth printing
The task field at the bottom of the editor takes the line a kid reads before starting. A small story with both animals tends to hold attention longer than a generic “find the path.” A few examples:
- The elephant and the giraffe are on opposite sides of the savanna at sundown. Show the elephant the way through the dry grass to where the giraffe is waiting.
- The penguin has lost the colony in a snowstorm. The whale knows the way back home. Find the path between them through the open water.
- The fox is on one side of the woods and the rabbit on the other. Find the rabbit a path through the trees that keeps her one step ahead of the fox.
- The pig and the duck are at opposite ends of the farm. Show the pig the way to the pond where the duck is splashing.
- The squirrel buried an acorn somewhere in the woods, and the bear is hungry. Help the bear find the path before the squirrel claims it back.
- The owl spotted the horse from the highest branch in the field. Show the horse the way to where the owl is perched.
- The tiger and the zebra are on opposite sides of the watering hole at sunrise. Find the path the zebra can take that the tiger cannot block.
