Wow – how quickly has our Tuff Spot A-Z Challenge gone. It doesn’t seem five minutes ago we started with our Alphabet Pasta Rainbow Tuff Spot. We conclude our challenge with Z is for Zig-Zag Tuff Spot.
This was an easy activity to set up. Adam was fascinated by the process. He chose the colours as I squirted the paint in a zig-zag on the Tuff Spot. We kept singing “up and down, up and down” repeatedly. Adam loved telling me the order of the colours and that we had created a “painting zig-zag Tuff Spot”.
I wanted a way that Adam could mix the zig-zag paints up so decided to use golf balls. Adam had a fantastic time rolling each ball across the Tuff Spot and watching the colours combine. He declared that he had made his own “Adam zig-zag.”
Adam focused on the activity for ages and didn’t mind getting paint on his hands. The balls bounced off the side of the Tuff Spot and rolled back to us. Adam even started to form his own zig-zags with his finger in the paint, repeatability saying to himself “up and down.”
As with all paint colour mixing, the paint ended up a grey/brown colour. The fun didn’t stop there though as we poured a little water into the Tuff Spot and started to clean the tray down. Cleaning paint off a Tuff Spot is much easier outside!
