3 Wooden Train Track Accessories From Hape

July 26, 2017 by Emma Edwards 1 Comment

Are you looking for ways to bring life back into your tired wooden train track? Do you have mounds of train track but your kids have lost their spark with the toy?  Then check out our three favourite wooden train track accessories from Hape. These are guaranteed to enhance your child’s train set.

Hape Xylophone Melody Track

The Xylophone Melody Track from Hape brings a musical interactive element to your train track. The train can take the bumpy road across the tambourine track to make a wonderful noise.

The set comes with a wooden train, a xylophone track and two plastic joins. The musical train and colorful track makes a nice musical interlude to the typical click-and-clack rhythm of train rides. The track creates five different sounds for your little one to discover.

The plastic joins can be removed and the xylophone will attach to any wooden train track. The set is suitable for children over 18 months and is strong and sturdy to withstand little ones playtime.

The Xylophone Melody Track is great for developing sound recognition and will spark imagination and creativity.

Hape Pop-Up Monkey Track

This cute Pop-Up Monkey Track from Hape can be enjoyed from 18 months upwards.

The three cheeky monkeys are hiding in the jungle just waiting to catch that banana. As the banana train drives past the trees the monkeys jump out. The set can be used by itself with the two yellow attachments included.

The wooden track is the perfect accessory to liven up your current railway track. We added the Pop-Up Monkey Track to our Neon Train Track.

Adam has set himself the challenge of seeing how quickly he can get all three monkeys to jump out of the trees.

Hape Jungle Journey Train

The Jungle Journey Train set from Hape includes three carriages with platforms for animals.

The tiger, lion and elephant wooden figures slot onto each train carriage and are ready to embark on a jungle adventure.  I was pleased that the animals did not come off of the carriages during play – something that would have frustrated Adam. Instead the animals could withstand their carriages being pulled around the track at full speed.

The magnetic connectors meant that the jungle carriages could join with either the Hape Banana train, the musical train or indeed any of Adam’s own trains.

Hape train accessories
All three Hape wooden train accessory sets are brightly coloured, are sure to transform your traditional train set and maintain your little ones attention span. Each accessory is compatible with any wooden train track and makes a great addition to your current set up.

Other ways to transform your train track

Take a look at brilliant book Old Tracks, New Tricks by Jessica Petersen.

The book has revolutionized how we think about our wooden train track. Through a story, the book details different ways you can add life to your old train tracks. We were inspired by the book to create a Neon Train Track. Click on the image below to read more about the book.
