Stampers – Day 2 Toddler Play Challenge

November 2, 2013 by Emma Gadsby Leave a Comment

On a recent shopping trip to the Early Learning Centre I came across some farm yard animal ink stampers.They were made by ‘Aladine’ and the pack consists of 5 large stampers with with ergonomic handles with a cow, pig, duck and a hen with her chicks. They are designed for toddler play so gave them a go.

Adam has never sat still for an activity before let alone experienced stampers so it was a first on all counts. He enjoyed pushing the farm animal stampers down into the ink and only needed a little assistance to push them onto the paper.

The problem was that every time he pressed onto the paper he wanted to clap his achievement – whist still holding the stamper. This proved messy! Furthermore, each time he saw the cow stamper he attempted to sign cow – getting ink over his hair. Luckily it wiped off easily with a baby wipe.

UPDATE: As of February 2014 you can no longer purchase the farm yard animals from the Early Learning Centre. They can still be found at Amazon.

Equipment needed:

* Stampers – ours were purchased from Early Learning Centre and cost £9.99

* Paper

Adam was 18 months
