Spider webs… isn’t it funny how we love them outside (a web glistening in the morning dew) but detest them when they are inside our house. However, we have created some Sparkly Halloween Spider Webs that everyone will want inside. They could be used as a Halloween decoration or make several of them to use as a hanging mobile.

Resources needed to make Sparkly Halloween Spider Web:
* PVA glue in a squeezy bottle – we used Bostik PVA White Glu
* Black permanent marker pen (optional)
* Glitter – we used purple and orange
* Bostik Blu Tack (optional)
How to make Sparkly Halloween Spider Webs:
Cut out a square of parchment paper and draw on a spiders web. I opted to use a thick black marker so that Adam could clearly see the web. Upon reflection, I should have drawn the web on a separate piece of paper underneath the parchment paper, as the ink remained on the web.
Next, take your PVA glue bottle and squeeze the glue onto the web outline. Make sure you follow the marker pen lines. The thicker the glue line the better. This was a great activity for developing Adams fine motor skills. Not only did he have to use hand eye coordination to follow the lines, but his hands got a great work out squeezing the glue.
Afterwards, sprinkle a generous amount of glitter on top of the glue. Move the glitter around the parchment paper to ensure that all the glue is completely covered. Tip any excess glitter off so that it can be used again.
We left our Sparkly Halloween Spider Webs to dry for at least 24 hours. We made them during a heat wave and placed them outside in the heat of the sun. Obviously if it is cooler then it will take longer for the glue to dry. Do not remove the web until you are certain that the glue is completely dry.
Peeling the Sparkly Halloween Spiders Webs away from the parchment paper was a delicate operation, but we managed to keep all the webs intact. Finally we added either a spider ring or spider confetti to the middle of the sparkly web.
We used Bostik Blu Tack to attach the sparkly spider webs to our door. They look so good I can imagine us making many more before Halloween.
