I have a wide range of puppets from my years of teaching. Child respond well to puppets and they make learning fun.
Adam hasn’t really seen any of my puppets. They have been in storage for some time so I decided to get them out to see what he thought.
He first met Playtpus – who I bought when travelling around Australia. Dad-dad got to do all the acting. This is where I discovered Dad-dad can do a range of different accents!
Luckily Adam loved the puppets.
He met Freddy the Frog who I used to use in numeracy lessons. Adam took a particular liking to Freddy.
Jessy has been used in all of my classes and is usually a firm favourite. However, it was the first time Jessy has ever had a Miss Piggy style American accent.
Adam was fascinated by the puppets mouth and kept moving the same as the puppets. He also couldn’t resist kissing Jessy!
It wasn’t long before Adam was playing with Jessy by rolling on the floor.
Adam was more reserved when he met the owl and wizard puppet. Dad-dad had to use Jessy to reassure Adam that the wizard wasn’t scary.
After meeting several more puppets Adam was soon piling all the puppets on top of each other – as well as some of his other soft toys.
He particularly likes cuddling up to Alex the lion from the film Madagascar.
The puppets will certainly not be going back into storage now!
