Luckily I had made this personalised puzzle activity Monday evening as otherwise we may not have completed the 100 day play challenge. Unfortunately I have been hit by the sickness bug and feel completely washed out. Sickness bugs hit me harder nowadays and I am instantly taken back to my nine months of hell whilst pregnant with Adam – click here to find out more.
Making the puzzle was easy. Finding a picture of each family member to fit inside the space was harder as I only had a few photographs already printed and no access to a printer.
Once I found a suitable photograph I drew around the puzzle piece and cut around the outline. The cut out photograph were then pushed it into the hole. I had expected to need glue to ensure the photo stayed in place but it wasn’t necessary.
The activity was perfect for today as Adam was able to play independently. Unfortunately I didn’t get a photograph of him playing with it as that would have meant leaving the comfort of my sofa! Now Adam has the added advantage of finding his wonderful family whenever he plays with his magnetic puzzle.

UPDATE: Adam loves his puzzle and it has been placed in a Busy Box. He loves it when you ask him to find Nana and he goes for the correct puzzle piece. The puzzle is quite hard to put back together again but the photographs are an extra incentive.
