Today we have an Adventures of Adam reader writing a guest post for us as part of our Tuff Spot A-Z Blog Hop.
Kelly is a Mum of two who lives Maine, America. We met Kelly through our previous play challenges and this is her second Tuff Spot Blog Hop post.
N is for Nest Tuff Spot
Because I don’t have a Tuff Tray we used a box. But with a tuff tray you could use a box around your tuff tray for the sides. We made a Nest. I glued shredded paper around the top of the box. I made a blue Robins egg with paper mache and I had a Robin stuffed animal that made the noise of an actual robin. I added shredded paper inside the nest as well.
My daughter who is 1, was scared to go in it at first. But after awhile started to love it. They had a blast playing in the nest after she warmed up. They pretended they were bird themselves for awhile. They wanted me to join in and be the mother bird and go find them worms. So I went and cut yarn as the worms. They were jumping out of the nest pretending to fly.
After pretending to be birds, my son pretended to be another animal getting the egg to eat. He has a great memory and remembers last summer a Robins nest we were watching, it had happened too. We found the small blue egg broken on the ground. So he pretended to be another animal and I had to chase him to get the egg, being the mommy bird, trying to protect it.
Then it turned into a ball and we played pass. By the end of playing, the paper mache egg was cracked and falling apart. But I guess that means they had fun right?
