As World Book Day is on 3rd March we were delighted when I Just Love It asked if we would review their children’s Personalised Encyclopedia.
My Personalised Encyclopedia is available in softback or hardback and is an A4 sized high quality book. Through colourful illustrations and words the Encyclopedia teaches children facts about animals, body parts, food and more. So far we have discovered that ants can lift 20 times their own body weight, that the eldest flamingo died at the age of 83 and that the post code of the North Pole is HOH OHO.
The Encyclopedia can be personalised with any name (12 characters) and a message. We have recently started to teach Adam about his surname. As his name came to under 12 characters we chose to use his full name in the book. It is clearly displayed on the front and back cover. Inside we added a personalised message. We wanted our message to represent Adam’s love of the alphabet and serve as a reminder for when he is older.
I had expected the personalisation to only occur in these two places. However, we were pleasently surprised to see that his name is mentioned throughout the entire book. Adam is fascinated that his name can be found inside each capital letter. Not only that, his name can be found in several of the illustrations. Immediately the book has been turned into a game of “spot-the-Adam”.
The personalised element of the book does not end there. On the last page there is a huge word search. All 91 entries from the encyclopedia are included as well as Adam’s full name. The word search is a wonderful additional touch to the book.
I Just Love It are firm believers that books should be enjoyed every day, which is why they have such a large range of personalised books available on their site. From personalised classics such as Alice in Wonderland to personalised football club books, historical newspapers to personalised creative colouring books there is something for every personality and budget.
