After the success of our Musical Tree activity several months ago I have been looking for other places to hang our pots and pans from. Coincidently our Tuff Spot Stand from Cosy Direct (click here for our review) was delivered during Sense of Hearing week, as part of our Five Senses Play Challenge. It was the perfect opportunity to make a Musical Tuff Spot Stand.
Setting up the activity was easy. I adjusted the Tuff Spot Stand so it was at its highest setting. I tied some pots and pans to our Tuff Spot Stand with wool, although string would have worked better.
I placed our Tuff Spot Tray (affiliate link) on top of the stand and this secured the string into place. On the Tuff Spot I added a couple more pots and pans and a variety of kitchen utensils.
Adam took one look at the pots and pans and immediately picked up a spoon to start hitting a pot.
Adam loved the freedom of being able to choose which utensil he could use. He spent ages experimenting with the different sounds each utensil produced.
* Tuff Spot Tray (affiliate link)
* Pots and pans. Ones with holes on the handle work best
* Wool or string
* Kitchen utensils – a variety of wooden and metal
