Make Shopping Easier With Trolley Bags

September 22, 2016 by Emma Edwards 2 Comments

I have a confession – I hate grocery shopping. Since having Adam, I detest the weekly task. This is probably because shopping with Adam is no mean feat. However, since the introduction of paying for plastic bags I have hated the chore even more. I am hopeless at remembering to put numerous plastic bags into the car and therefore end up placing all the shopping back into the trolley after paying for it. When Packing Sorted heard about my dislike for shopping they asked if I wanted to review their Trolley Bags. As I couldn’t hate shopping any more if I tried I decided to put them to the test.

Trolley Bags are a system of reusable shopping bags that rest in your shopping trolley. The system gives you a set of four open and upright bags where you can pack and sort your shopping. The four bags are different sizes and are connected with Velcro. The colour coded system also makes packing, and unpacking at home, easier.

Setting up Trolley Bags

I headed to our local supermarket to put the Trolley Bags to the test. The Trolley Bags were easy to fit inside a large trolley. I simply unrolled the system, placed the bags into the trolley and spread them out. At the same time as testing out the Trolley Bags, I decided to give “Scan As You Shop” a try. Within seconds of entering the shop I was scanning the first items and placing them into the bags.

Make shopping easier

There was plenty of space inside each bag and I found it easy to sort my shopping into sections. Everything that I purchased fitted inside the bags easily. What is great is that you no longer have to hold a bag open whilst you add your items. I would highly recommend using the “Scan As You Shop” method along with the Trolley Bags. I was able to scan items, place them directly in the bags and, after paying, I went straight to the car. No unloading the shopping at the check out and having to rebag it all.

Once at the car I could separate each bag and place it into the car boot. The handles make the bags easy to carry. The bags fitted perfectly inside the car and they remained upright during the journey home.

Once home, it was a nice surprise to see all my shopping still in the bags rather than spread out across the car boot floor. Due to big handles I was able to carry all four bags at once and could take all the shopping into the house in one go. Unpacking was easy too as the food was kept in groups.

Trolley Bags are easy to carry

Once the Trolley Bags were empty, I simply rolled the bags up again. They were colourful enough that I remembered to put them back into the car straightaway ready for our next shop.

Trolley Bags are easy to store

Despite being pessimistic about the Trolley Bags, I do confess that they made the shopping process much easier and therefore more enjoyable. The bags helped to make the shopping quicker, unpacking easier and I no longer have to buy any more plastic bags!

Trolley Bags are available in two sizes – Trolley Bags Original for deeper trolleys and Trolley Bags Express for shallow Trolleys. Both sizes are available in different colours – bright vibe or pastel shades.

I have a love/hate relationship with food shopping. I love going when I can leave the kids at home with hubby, but hate it if I have to take them with me. Trolley bags and scan as you shop is my lifesaver, no more filling the trolley, emptying on the checkout, packing bags, placing in trolley etc.

Glad I am not the only one who has a love/hate relationship with food shopping!
