Hape Anywhere Art Studio Review

May 3, 2018 by Emma Edwards Leave a Comment

For some time I have been on the lookout for an art studio for Adam. I didn’t want a tall easel but something that was small enough to store easily and fit on a table as Adam prefers to sit whilst drawing. Hape found us the perfect solution – the Hape Anywhere Art Studio.

The Hape Anywhere Art Studio is the perfect size for Adam. He is able to place it on the table by himself and we love that the knobs on the side enable you to change the angle so it is in the correct position for your child. Each side has a spacious area in which to work. The easel is 48cm wide, 54cm high and 9cm deep, yet compact to store.

The art studio can be used on both sides. One side is a chalk board. Inside the box there were two large chalk pieces and an eraser. Adam likes to use this side to create pictures on. I like how the chalk dust can be pushed through the gaps in the wood. This means you do not end up with chalk encrusted at the edges of the frame.

On the other side it is a magnetic whiteboard which is ideal for drawing directly on using whiteboard pens (unfortunately these are not supplied).

The set comes with a magnetic wood clamp which helps to position additional paper to the whiteboard. Adam likes to clamp his spelling list to the board and then practise his spellings on the whiteboard.

The Hape Anywhere Art Studio is great for developing Adam’s artistic skills, fine motor skills as well as practising his spellings. The whiteboard is easy to clean with the eraser provided.

As with all HAPE products, the Anywhere Art Studio is extremely high quality. It is made with the HAPE’s usual commitment to sustainability, compliant with international safety and quality standards. The Hape Anywhere Art Studio is suitable for ages 3 and above and is available online or on Amazon.
