Regular readers will know our love for the Aliens Love Underpants series by Claire Freedman. So far we have have made an Aliens Love Underpants Busy Bag which is still regularly used two years on, Aliens Love Panta Claus play dough and an Aliens Love Underpants Neon Sensory Bin. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to base an activity on the Underpants sequel so created an Aliens In Underpants Save The World Busy Bag.

In the Aliens in Underpants Save the World book a gigantic meteorite is heading for earth. The Aliens’ pants supply is under threat so they come up with a cunning plan – create “the most ginormous pair of underpants made in the whole wide world“.
When I spotted a metallic Flying Saucers Sweets and Money Tin I knew I had found the perfect container for our Busy Bag. The UFO tin splits in half and both sections can be used during play. As a sensory base I added cut up black straws and placed them into the bottom of the tin.
Last year we were excited to hear that an Aliens Love Underpants! Fuzzy Felt set had been released. It made a wonderful Christmas present for Adam. The play set contains two play mats and 50 felt pieces to create your own scenes. The felt pieces are made up of underpants and aliens. The pieces of felt made a great addition for our Busy Bag. I placed the aliens and underpants inside the UFO tin along with a giant pair of red underpants that I cut out from red felt.
Adam loved the Aliens In Underpants Save the World Busy Bag from the moment he saw it. He needed some help to open the tin up but so was excited to see his favourite fuzzy felt pieces inside. He unrolled the giant pair of pants and discovered that they were big enough to fit him!
He then set about placing the small fuzzy felt underpants on top of the red pants. He layered the many pair of pants to re-create the ginormous underpants in the story.
Whilst playing with the fuzzy felt aliens Adam discovered the slot in the Flying Saucers Tin. He realised that he could push an Alien through the hole and it looked as if the alien was driving the UFO.
As all of the resources can be placed inside the UFO easily our Aliens In Underpants Save The World Busy Bag can be enjoyed time and time again.
