We have been having great fun with our Halloween play so wanted to share with you our 8+ toddler friendly Halloween activities.
We originally started our 100 day toddler play challenge this time last year with a pumpkin sensory activity. Adam’s play has come a long way since this photo was taken.
This activity is a guest post written on Building Blocks and Acorns. Using black turtle beans, red lentils and toy spiders Adam had great fun picking out all of the spiders.
This activity we did back in June. Adam had to place toilet rolls onto each of the eight spiders legs. A super gross motor skills activity.
We love the story of Winnie the Witch. We created our own multicoloured Wilbur the cat using glue and rainbow coloured rice.
So as not to disappoint Adam with my inability to carve a pumpkin, I created a Pumpkin car tunnel instead. It certainly went down well and was a great addition to our DIY car track busy bag.
Who you gonna call? Ghost (balloon) Busters! This was a great way of getting rid of some excess energy on a wet afternoon.
Cutting up orange and black straws made a great base for our Halloween sensory bin. Can you spot the eyes hidden amongst the straws?
Adam wasn’t too keen on our jelly and spider hand. It does look quite gross! Extra gelatin works a treat to make the jelly nice and strong.
8. Ghost Toilet Roll Towers
A simple tower building activity using ghost toilet rolls. Adam also loved rolling the ghosts around the living room. We never managed to play Ghost Bowling though.
That is not all. Why not check out our 20 Toddler Friendly Spider Activities.
This year we have started two new family Halloween traditions. We had a fantastic time pumpkin picking at White House Farm in Norwich. They sold out of pumpkins soon after our visit so we shall certainly be visiting early next year.
We also had a magical day out at BeWILDerwood on their Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade. Adam spent hours climbing, sliding, jumping and running in the treetop adventure park. Once dusk settled we followed the lantern parade around the woods. This is certainly an adventure not to be missed.
Happy Halloween from Adventures of Adam!
