On our recent holiday to Yorkshire we stayed in a Bed and Breakfast. As we were very restricted on space in the car I only took Adam 5 small cars and 4 books. I had no worries that Adam wouldn’t be able to occupy himself with objects found in the Bed and Breakfast. It is amazing how long a 2 year old can play with the complimentary coffee and sugar sachets!
At breakfast on the second morning I observed the different activities Adam came up with himself. Here are Adam’s 5 activities at the breakfast table:
Activity Number 1: Take out the variety pack of cereals and put them in a line.
Activity Number 2: Shake each variety box to compare their different sounds.
Activity Number 3: Build the tallest tower.
Activity Number 3 continued: Build another tower.
Activity Number 4: Line the boxes up and create a car track. (Yes, Adam did line them up himself in colour order)
Activity Number 5: When all else fails practise standing a coke bottle on its top – not an easy task!
Adam was 2 years old.
