#365Penguins – March

March 31, 2016 by Emma Gadsby Leave a Comment

Our #365Penguin adventure continues. It is hard to believe we have finished March already! For those of you who don’t know, we have been inspired by the book 365 Penguins by Jean-Luc Fromental. Each day throughout the year we have a penguin delivered to our house just like in the story. You can read about our January and February penguin adventures.

We are now a quarter of the way through our 365 Penguin adventure. We have survived winter and are moving into Spring. How quickly the seasons change.

90 Penguins

Within the story, the month of March focuses on what to do with all the penguins. I mentioned last month that we are housing our penguins in Adam’s dolls house. Adam likes to group them into tens or twenties. However, we couldn’t resist organising the penguins like they did in the story.

During March we had some amazing feedback. Jean-Luc Fromental, author of 365 Penguins, commented on our blog! He wrote:

How amazing is that! If anything will help us continue our 365 penguin adventure it is that comment!

As the penguins keep on coming our collection gets bigger and bigger. We had a few special penguins delivered this month. On March 6th we had a penguin delivered with a flower attached to celebrate Mother’s Day here in the UK.

When we visited Drayton Manor to attend the grand opening of the Tamarin Trail, we had two penguins delivered to our hotels.

On Easter Sunday our penguin was delivered in a box containing plastic Easter Eggs!

We have just had penguin number 90 delivered.

If you want to see how we make our penguins be sure to check out our Penguin tutorial. They take no time at all to make and only require a few resources.

P.S This is what it looks like when Adam gets near a photo shoot!

Welcome!

Emma and Adam

During a difficult pregnancy suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) Emma vowed to make every day an adventure once she had recovered. Adventures of Adam is the outcome of completing a 100 day play challenge with Adam as part of that promise. Emma has a section dedicated to HG friendly play activities so that Mums can still be part of their children’s play whilst they are ill.
