As part of our Sense of Touch week for the Five Senses Play Challenge we have been playing with soft Valentine play dough. This easy to make play dough is made from just two ingredients – hair conditioner and plain flour!
I simply poured a bottle of hair conditioner into a bowl. As this was Valentine inspired play dough I mixed in pink Wilton Food Colouring (affiliate link) to the hair conditioner. I then slowly added plain flour a tablespoon at a time. I mixed the hair conditioner and flour together until we it was the consistency of play dough.
On the table I added a variety of plastic heart buttons and heart cookie cutters. My niece, Beth, enjoyed pushing the heart buttons into the play dough.
I also gave her some cup cake cases and we spent ages making Valentine play dough cup cakes.
Best of all though, the Valentine play dough was so soft to touch, Beth couldn’t resist stroking it against her face!
